40 Days Purpose Driven Study (Week 1) - Introduction

The 40 Days Purpose Driven Study Series is designed by Rick Warren, author of Purpose Driven Life, to emphasize on the practicality of the five purposes that God meant for the citizenship of His Kingdom: (1) Worship, (2) Fellowship, (3) Discipleship, (4) Ministry, and (5) Evangelism. The Friday Bible Study Group will cover one purpose each week by utilizing memory verse, video clip presentation, discussions, and group activities to maximize the learning experience for our participants. Ecclesiastes chapter 1 has warned us about the negative effects of not knowing His purposes for us, which are tiresome, unfulfilling, and uncontrollable. Those who do not know their purposes will either (A) make up their own purposes or (B) discover their Creator’s purposes for them. For those who choose the latter option, God will equip them with Focus, Simplicity, Motivation, and Eternity to fulfill their purposes because... "For we are God's workmaship, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do" (Ephesian 2:10).
